You could write to the chief constable and make a complaint if you think you are right.
The problem is if there was two coppers then they will be believed over one motorist.
Section 59 warnings are ok if used properly but I believe the police are abusing it.
They said if you told the "truth" and admitted it they would have just gave advice - WTF :headscratch:

There is no appeal process and its these people who allow such intimidation.
I would just leave it and drive like an old biddy for 12 months :poke:

At the moment there is nothing that can be done against these Section 59 warnings.
If you look around the internet, they have been used for a few years now and we are stuck with them.
Just drive like an old woman for 12 months and be done.

When my friend asked the police what recording equipment they used when they issued him with a Section 59 warning notice, they said they didn't need anything just their eyes
Have coppers got a built in speed detector in their caps?
And why, oh why, is there no right of appeal ffs.

They have to make the policeman think he is the boss.
We all know he isn't but it makes them feel good.
When the copper makes the decision to issue a Section 59 notice he knows its one of the only thing he can do where you cant really reply or argue.
He wins, but its one of the only times that he can get one over you

Take the Section 59 notice and drive carefully (and quietly) for 12 months and it ceases to exist.
That's not too hard to do.

Section 59's are there to be broken.
Bloody public servants warning their masters - what a bunch of idiots.
