Massive Price Tag For Robby the Robot

Anyone remember the film from the fifties, The Forbidden Planet?
Well the original robot was called Robby and that model has just sold for $5,375,000 - US dollars.
It has become the most expensive movie memorabilia item ever.
The robot is 7 foot tall, so will make some kid happy this Christmas

Forbidden Planet is a classic film, one of my favourites.
The robot should be in a museum, I'd love to see it.

Oh yeah, Robby the Robot, I remember it well.

Obviously, anyone with money would like a piece of film history.
I just noticed it being called Robby The Robot rather than Robbie, oh well maybe the yanks do it differently
