Courts decide that Brexit needs an act of parliament
The Supreme Court has went against the government on a hard Brexit.
Teresa May wanted to just leave the EU with the consent of the majority in the referendum.
The court ruling means that there has to be an act of parliament in order for the UK to leave the EU.
Without doubt Brexit will happen but a softer option may have to be taken and Article 50 will be triggered soon.
It means that the terms of leaving may be different.
Things like free movement of people and trade with the EU will be discussed and negotiated.

Re: Courts decide that Brexit needs an act of parliament
We voted for a hard-Brexit so where's the democracy?
Keep the bastards honest.
Re: Courts decide that Brexit needs an act of parliament
Of course we all knew that some unelected people in a court would make this judgement.
They are the very same people who are like the other elite people in the world who are controlling everything.
They are basically flexing their muscles but on this occasion they can't stop Brexit.
However, what they have achieved is going from a hard-Brexit to a soft-Brexit.
This means that it will be very similar to being in the EU depending upon the deals that are struck.
I watched these people deliver their 'verdict' and they made me sick just looking at them.

Those 11 people who voted 8-3 against the government are unelected people who should have no say whatsoever.
Brexit means Brexit.
Brexit means Brexit.

I suppose we were all expecting this!

MP's voted in favour of Brexit last night.
Common sense prevailed and they voted for what the British people wanted.
