Jimmy Hill is Dead

Jimmy Hill is Dead

Jimmy Hill, who used to host Match of the Day here in the UK has died aged 87.
He battled with Alzheimer's disease for numerous years.
His familiar looks made him instantly recognisable:

RIP to Jimmy Hill.
I remember him well and he did have a lot of influence on the game of football.
If I am not mistaken, wasn't it Jimmy Hill who first thought about giving three points for a win rather than the two they used to get. That resulted in playing more competitively right to the end of the match and you still see lots of injury time goals to this day because so much rests on it.
In the seventies he was truly the face of Match of the Day!
I am free and they will not tell me otherwise

Jimmy Hill has played a big part in football over the years.
I heard them say that he was the one who suggested having the players names on the back of their shirts.
Jimmy Hill was always a familiar face in the seventies, I am not sure about the eighties as I lost interest in the telly then,

RIP.
