What is High Society?

As it says really.
Is there such a thing as "High Society".
We have all heard of the phrase from the television and in a few songs so what exactly is it?

To me it suggests that it is a society higher than the one we perceive to be in now.
Does the High Society exist and just who are the members?
Are they all snobby little old Etonians?
All I get when I google is for a film starring Bing Crosby, Grace Kelly, and Frank Sinatra

I think those who think they are in High Society are the posh ones with money.

High society indeed.
Possibly a rich bunch that believe they are a cut above the rest.
They don't realise that we are all born equal.

These people with money seem to think there is a society higher than the one we allegedly live in?
Well doesn't that just show these people are looking down their noses at us!
They are no better than me and that's a fact.
High society indeed

High society is for the toffs with cash.
They are still equal to all of us but in their bank accounts their figures are higher than ours.
They can spend this money on luxury and that's what they do - buy luxury.
They may have all that but what they don't have is any credibility to the normal man or woman in the street.
Cucumber sandwiches are cheap anyway

High society does exist in the heads of those who flash their cash.
But normal people don't recognise them as living in high society.
Basically, its just a fiction.

High society to me is an aeroplane full of people in the sky
Seriously, they will never be higher than me.
In fact, they are really below me for them being so arrogant.

I reckon the Freemasons all think they live in high society too or are they above that
